Chrome Kickstart Kit for 58292
5-Speed Transmissions
This kit bolts onto any RevTech or OEM style
five-speed Big Twin transmission case (except
five-speed in a four-speed case) and utilizes the
existing gears. The result is a transformation of
your modern five-speed into the classic style
with a completely functional kick starter. The
early style kick cover completes the look but
uses late style ball and ramp clutch release and
cable, maintaining smooth shifting and gear
engagement.
Note: Standard pipes do not clear kicker. Must use custom
TRANSMISSION & DRIVELINE
made exhaust.

models 82-99. Features include: Reinforced
aluminum end cover for strength. CNC
machined billet aluminum transmission
adapter plate for a precise fit. Chrome top
pivot kick arm with non-slip flat rubber pedal.
Designed with many standard kickstart
components for easy maintenance. Available
with chrome or polished cover, each kit
includes mainshaft extension, gears and other
necessary components for bolt-on installation
on Big Twin 5-speed models 87-89.
Note: Installation on 82-86 models with old style clutch
actuator requires update to ball-and-ramp style clutch cable*
and releasing kit*. FXR models may require FXST cable.
Installation on late 1990-up models requires (CC #070009)
clutch adjusting screw. These items must be purchased
separately.
Note: May require modification of exhaust system to allow
proper cover fit.
